$50 NL on PokerRoom

I start the hand with $60. LP has $56. I only had about 20 hands with LP at the time, so not enough information.

I have JJ in MP. UTG raises 4xBB to $2.00. UTG+1 calls. 1 fold. I reraise to $4.50.

I reraise here because I want to know before the flop if UTG has a big pair so if undercards flop I won't be in such a difficult situation if he bets. Thoughts on this?

LP calls $4.50 cold. UTG calls. UTG+1 folds.

Pot = $15

Flop: [4s] [8d] [4d]

UTG checks, I bet $10, LP calls. UTG folds.

I'm not too happy that he cold called a raise and reraise pre-flop, and flat called $10 on this flop. He either has a big pair, overcards with a flush draw, or a monster.

Pot = $35

Turn: [3h]

I bet $15. I realize now that this bet was probably too small. I made it timidly because I felt like I was being trapped. LP calls.

Pot = $65

River: [5h]

Ok. Now for decision time. Who bets here? Should I check/call a reasonable bet? Should I call an all-in? If he had overcards + flush draw checking might induce a bluff. If he had a pair/monster he will certainly bet, but he will probably bet something he thinks I will call, which could get me to a showdown cheaper. Advice please.

I don't have much time so I'll make it brief....

If you're gonna reraise preflop..reraise to i dunno....$6 or $7 maybe. Making it another $2 to go isn't really going to do anything to give you a better read. They're just gonna call that raise everytime.

I would have check/called the turn in your spot with JJ...that hand is too vunerable...especially since this guy called a raise and a reraise (note: I would be a lot more comfortable with checking here if you had reraised more preflop. Then you know he either has [Ad][Kd] or a pocket pair higher then your jacks.)

100% agree with Kenny about the preflop reraise and the check/call turn

I expected UTG to at least call the re-raise. What I wanted to find out, was if he were going re-raise me back. Then I would know if UTG had a big pair. Honestly, I didn't expect anyone to call the $4.5 cold. I'm not sure if I agree with reraising that much in that spot.

On the turn, if you check and he checks behind do you bet the river?

This is another one of those f-ed up river bets. What the hell is he doing betting TT on the river? Does he even know if he's bluffing or valuebetting? It annoys me.

Would I be banned from this board if I decided not to play JJ unless i hit a set? This has to be my absolute bane of hands. I treat it like QQ and end up getting fucked over in the end. Give me suited connectors anyday; or AQo out of position. I usually find myself running into bigger pairs or getting sucked out. No clue how to play it.
