Top two on scary board

Postby nolimpin » Tue Apr 26, 2005 12:32 pm

NLHE Blinds 2/4

I have $240 and villian has me covered.

I'm UTG with [8h][9h] and limp, tight player to my left raises to $12 and everybody else folds. I put him on JJ-AA, maybe AK but not as likely. I've seen him jam a couple of high pocket pairs post flop, even on a scary board. I call hoping to hit the flop hard.

Pot $30.

Flop: [7c][8c][9c] Okay, not exactly what I had in mind but I think I've got the best hand here. I check planning to check-raise, he bets $30, I raise to $90 and he moves all in. I call.

Turn: [6h]

River: [Kc]

Thoughts?
