tilt hand for public humiliation

Postby Magz » Sun Aug 07, 2005 3:45 pm

I'm posting this because I have no push-ups thing going and I need someone to slap me around!

I was tilted before this hand no doubt about that, but the thing was:
After a couple of crappy beats I started to play scared, (I should offcourse have stopped playing but I feel I have to get the hours/hands in when I have the time.)

And this guy wich I felt was a good and aggressive player had picked up on that weakness ( he wasn't around during the bad beats)

He had had been real busy in a short period of time and had already doubled up (another table).
So I figured, if I'n gonna stay in this game I'll have to make a stand, and no-way he could have another good hand. (Tilt you say? )

My question is: Since I was pretty sure that he just tried to bully me around Is there ANY way to defend how I played this hand? I tried to represent a overpair(or something I dont know). And btw I have NEVER raised UTG with these two cards..

Oh and about his flop bet, he had done that like 3 times in row when I was in the flop and got away with it, atleast I felt so in my current state of mind

I haven't looked at the results. As the first to post, I'm happy to do it this way.

What could he have to bet the flop? I'd guess a set, most likely. Could he have called a raise in the small blind with 56 out of position? Yeah, but he probably would slowplay a flopped straight. I've got to put his all-in as an incredibly bold, if not maniacal semi-bluff. Nothing aside from a set would win, at that point. I'm pot-committed. Nothing I can do but pray.

Ok, I hate top pair. I have lost a LOT of my roll on them. Too much. Bummer. I would hate this guy very, very much.

Kudos on posting a tilty hand. That's tough to do, I know.

As far as what to do, you gotta leave that room. Forget that guy (as hard as it can be to do). Better to find a fish than attack a bully.
