This is why you dont slow play AA

Postby Rhound50 » Tue May 03, 2005 12:18 pm

I gotta thank the SB for not reraising with AA, if he reraises, I have to fold. The flop action scared me a little both of these guys are rock according to my PT numbers both under 15% saw flop, so I was worried one of them had 77, but I am going to go to push with 2nd set every time on that flop.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed)

saw flop|saw showdown

Hero ($52.7)
Button ($51.8)
SB ($49.15)
BB ($50)
UTG ($31.55)
UTG+1 ($58.2)
MP1 ($44)
MP2 ($54.4)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [5s], [5d]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
4 folds, Hero calls $0.50, 1 fold, SB (poster) completes, BB raises to $2.5, Hero calls $2.50, SB calls $2.50.

Flop: ($9) [7s], [2s], [5h] (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $8, Hero calls $8, SB calls $46.15 (All-In), BB calls $38.15, Hero calls $41.70 (All-In), BB calls $0.85 (All-In).

Turn: ($151.85) [2h] (3 players, 3 all-in)

River: ($151.85) [6d] (3 players, 3 all-in)

Final Pot: $151.85

Hero has 5s 5d (full house, fives full of twos).
SB has Ah Ad (two pair, aces and twos).
BB has Kd Kc (two pair, kings and twos).
Outcome: Hero wins $151.84.

I assume that the SB had AA.

He just completed from the SB with AA out of position with no expected raise to come that he could reraise. Bad Bad Bad.

Once the BB raised though, I think its OK to play it the way he did as long as hes planning on check raising just about any flop, which he did.

Yeah Ice I realized that when I posted it, I left out the results, keep forgetting to hit the button in hand converter, anyways I fixed it.
