this hand was crazy

2/4 NL pokerroom

Dealt [Kh][Kd] in the SB. Regular (good TAG) raises to $16 from UTG+1. I call and UTG limper folds.

FLOP $ 40
[Jc],[Qd],[8s]
I check. He bets $25.
I raise to $60.
He reraises another $120.
I call the extra $85.

TURN $330
[Jc],[Qd],[8s] [Ts]

He has $250 left. I bet $125 He calls.

RIVER $580
[Jc],[Qd],[8s][Ts][7d]

I bet his last $125, praying he'll make an awesome laydown with AA. I figure with the pot odds I have to call a river bet, so I might as well let him make the decison by repping QQ (assuming he doesn't already have it.)

He takes a long, long time and calls.

He shows [Ks][Kc] and we split.

We both misplayed this hand badly. This is what I mean when I say they never believe my bets.

I think if youre not going to fold, then you need to push all in when he reraised your $60 raise. After that, you lost all folding equity.

I may have folded to his reraise though since you said hes good and since you cant beat AA, QQ or JJ. Most good players wont play AQ that strong and thats all you can beat.

Im assuming you agree with this since you said that you misplayed the hand.

Yeah the guy talked with me about it afterward..said he would have folded to an allin on the flop.

I think the correct play was a fold to his reraise.
