AK Suited from BB

Postby Twelver » Sun Aug 21, 2005 7:19 am

My read on the villan was He was sLA. I had only seen hit showdown 5 hands and he lost all of them, but I had not seen this kind of aggression from him before.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (9 handed)

saw flop|saw showdown

SB ($24.60)
Hero ($37.38)
UTG ($25)
UTG+1 ($26.73)
MP1 ($16)
MP2 ($32.75)
MP3 ($34.05)
CO ($8.08)
Button ($26.45)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Kh], [Ah]. SB posts a blind of $0.10. UTG posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG (poster) checks, UTG+1 calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25, 5 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: ($1.10) [9c], [Ac], [5d] (4 players)
Hero checks, (perhaps my first mistake....I was planning on going for the check raise here...but I think now I should have led out for the pot), UTG bets $2, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, Hero raises to $5 (should I have raised more here? It does not seem like enough to get him off of his hand), UTG calls $3.

Turn: ($11.10) [2c] (2 players)
Hero bets $5, UTG calls $19.75 (All-In), Hero folds.

Final Pot: $35.85

I think my turn bet was too weak. I should have bet somewhere around $9 or $10, but none the less I can call his all-in here can I?

Preflop: I raise to 4xBB, hoping to chase some players out.
Flop: A flush draw out. I make a pot sized bet.
Turn: The flush hit. I check. (Although I wouldn't put villain on a flush. Why would he overbet the flop with a flush draw? A set or two pair is likely.) From here, it's read dependant whether or not I call him down.
