BB hasn't done anything stupid and plays tight. I didn't know if her minimum bet on flop was a very strong hand or just a tester. Obviously it was a very strong hand - but how strong? I really dont like non-nut-straights. Especially with semi-deep stacks.

She must know that I am very strong (I bet pot on turn into three players). I could have KQ - if she doesn't have it, she has to fear that I do. Who plays it different? And what to do on turn?

I think she has trips or maybe two pair (not that likely). I can't imagine KQ played like that .. unless of course she's afraid of the flush but then she would have raised the flop, right?

I say reraise her all-in. It's either that or check it all the way down, but I opt for the raise here.

Smooth call and pray for diamond? You can bank on the diamond giving you the pot with a moderate bet unless she has KQd, and that would explain not being scared of the flush draw.

She might have two pair or the set, I would lean towards set if you have frequently seen her play the turn hard like this, she might have KQ, we just don't know. I hate the suckers end of the straight for this reason, and hate calling or raising off a bunch of money when I'm wrong.

A fold is probably the best play, but I hate it. I mean laying down flopped straights is just miserable, but necessary against tight players that don't think you are a monkey. If she thinks you are a monkey, moving in is probably best

I dunno, I personally would be re-raising with K-Q (no hearts) on that flop too. There is a LOT of dead money in that pot and you don't want a heart to come and potentially kill your hand. That said, people DO slowplay when they shouldn't. It doesn't make sense to me that a hand like a set wouldn't try harder to protect their hand on the flop--especially when the BB pushed it so hard on the turn. So I think I'd put your opponent on making a mistake.Either the BB slowplayed K-Q or Q-8 (the BB DID check remember) or is grossly misplaying a 2 pair/set kind of holding. You've invested $100 into the pot so far, but you still have $300 in your stack and it will cost you all of it to show down....I just don't think you can. I don't know if I'd be capable of that laydown on the spot though.

The only nagging thought is that any hand other than [Qh] has played this pretty badly (since raising with a flush draw would not be uncommon play).

Still, I think this may fall into the "heroic calls" category you're supposed to avoid...

I would fold this. I just hate the wrong end of the straight, lost exactly the same hand against someone with Q8 in the blinds, it sucks.

What does your opponent think you have? If he thinks you have a straight and he still raises, me might just have a higher straight. I would have just tried to get to a cheap showdown with this, but if your opponent forces the issue it's a tough decision.
