Some Hands From Last nite

Postby ale_k300 » Tue Sep 13, 2005 10:35 am

Well , this hands are posted also in my new journal, they are from last nite at party 50 NL tables, as usual looking for some extra analysis.

HAND #1
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed)

UTG ($53.25)
UTG+1 ($9.98)
MP1 ($42.50)
Hero ($50.50)
MP3 ($108.16)
CO ($100.40)
Button ($39.25)
SB ($128.45)
BB ($123.82)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with [Qc], [Qd]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG calls $0.50, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.50, Hero raises to $3, MP3 calls $3, 3 folds, BB calls $2.50, UTG folds, MP1 calls $2.50.

I think the typical preflop raise... so far so good...

Flop: ($12.75) [9s], [8c], [Ts] (4 players)
BB bets $4, MP1 folds, Hero raises to $12, MP3 folds, BB calls $8.

Flop is scary, but not scary enough, i don't think he can have J/Q so i raise his bet trying to push him out of any draws not giving him odds

Turn: ($36.75) [6s] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $12, BB calls $12.

mmmm.... another club and he is checking to me... but i got the feeling that he is on the straight draw. so again i bet strong ( is this bet a mistake?? )

River: ($60.75) [5s] (2 players)
BB bets $25, Hero folds.

And yet another club.... he bets 25, and i just don't see how can i call this ( good fold?? )

Final Pot: $85.75

Results in white below:
BB doesn't show.
Outcome: BB wins $85.75.

HAND #2 ( The hand that made my ass hurt for a few minutes )

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed)

Button ($45.50)
SB ($39.40)
BB ($140.19)
UTG ($108.84)
UTG+1 ($42.36)
UTG+2 ($16.89)
MP1 ($13.55)
Hero ($60.60)
MP3 ($56.05)
CO ($17.05)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with [Qs], [As]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.50, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.50, Hero raises to $3, 5 folds, UTG+1 calls $2.50, MP1 folds.

This was quite a loose passive table with a few fish around where i was trying to play as strong game, so i liked my hand and then decided to raise ( i always try to raise the same with any raise hand so i give no ideas of what i hold with the strenght of my raise ), a guy listed as a LPP calls.

Flop: ($7.25) [Jd], [5h], [Ac] (2 players)
UTG+1 bets $4, Hero raises to $8, UTG+1 calls $4.

The big dilema is here... he bets been a 0.96 AF, so i'm pretty sure that he his holding an An Ax. but i think that my A with good kick is good enough to push him a little bit more, i raise , he calls.

Turn: ($23.25) [Qd] (2 players)
UTG+1 bets $6, Hero raises to $20, UTG+1 calls $14.

My Money card shows up, again i don't think he flopped a set but now with him betting again i thinking that he might even flopped a 2 pair. but with the idea that he has no sets, i think i got way the best hand, so i put another big Raise. and again... he calls.

River: ($63.25) [Tc] (2 players)
UTG+1 calls $11.36 (All-In), Hero calls $11.36.

....... and the Ten had to show up ...... and he pushed... and now for a minute i think a now what he is holding, but i this point with the amount of money invested i got to see that card...... ( was an error calling at this point ??)

Final Pot: $85.97

Results in white below:
UTG+1 has Kh Ah (straight, ace high).
Hero has Qs As (two pair, aces and queens).
Outcome: UTG+1 wins $85.97.

HAND #3 ( The good hand )

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed)

UTG ($65.35)
UTG+1 ($22.70)
UTG+2 ($137.59)
MP1 ($114.09)
MP2 ($50.20)
MP3 ($50.65)
CO ($49.05)
Hero ($69.10)
SB ($24.50)
BB ($38.85)

Preflop: Hero is Button with [7h], [7d]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
7 folds, Hero calls $0.50, SB (poster) completes, BB raises to $1.5, Hero calls $1.50, SB folds.

First thing... i know i probably i should been the preflop raiser trying to steal blinds, but at this point, after been dealt AA 5 times and kings 4 and have no action at all, and flopping no sets on the last 350 hands, i wanted to just call...
TAA in BB decides to raise, but at this point i feel loose enough and decide to call.

Flop: ($4.50) [Jc], [5d], [7s] (2 players)
BB bets $4, Hero calls $4.

MONEY CARD!!!! and rainbow, and i don't think that there is anything scary here, so i just call his bet hoping for some improvement on his hand.

Turn: ($12.50) [Jh] (2 players)
BB bets $10, Hero raises to $20, BB calls $22.85 (All-In), Hero calls $12.85.

BOAT, and i'm way sure i got the best hand, he bets, i raise his ass he pushes i call...

River: ($78.20) [4c] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $78.20

Results in white below:
BB has Kd Kc (two pair, kings and jacks).
Hero has 7h 7d (full house, sevens full of jacks).
Outcome: Hero wins $78.20.

HAND #4 ( 2 Bluffs over 650 hands one went wrong cost me $10, this one came alright )

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (8 handed)

CO ($48)
Button ($43.55)
SB ($43.85)
Hero ($32.45)
UTG ($74.51)
UTG+1 ($50.85)
MP1 ($58.40)
MP2 ($171.27)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Ah], [Qc]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG calls $0.50, 2 folds, CO calls $0.50, Button calls $0.50, SB (poster) completes, Hero raises to $2.5, UTG calls $2.50, CO folds, Button calls $2.50, SB calls $2.50.

I think ok hand to raise from the BB. got lot of action.

Flop: ($12.50) [Jd], [5h], [7d] (5 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $5, UTG calls $5, Button folds, SB folds.

Preflop raiser betting the flop ( as the book says, lol )

Turn: ($22.50) [Ks] (3 players)

if he is in any kind of draws he is gonna be gone after this move...

Hero calls $24.45 (All-In), UTG folds.

Final Pot: $46.95

Results in white below:
Hero doesn't show.
Outcome: Hero wins $46.95.

Well on the first hand I would do 2 thing differently. The first is the flop raise. Yo ushould have raised it to something like $16 or $20. taking down the pot there would be Ok. Now on the turn you said u bet strong?? A $12 bet into a $36 pot is not very strong. You are giving him 4-1 on the call so he is CORRECT to call. I think a bet at around $25-$30 or even the size of the pot would have been a bit better.

On the second hand I would have raisd a bit more on the flop somewhere in the neighborhood of around $12. Now on the turn I think I may have pushed. What do u think guys?

3. I think it was played very well.

4. That was very ballsy. After I got called on the flop with a continuation bet I slow down quite a bit. Maybe Im weak though. hehe

hand 4: with that many limpers, i'd raise more preflop. $3.50 or $4 even. you don't want to play this hand OOP against half the table. on the flop...if you're going to make a continuation bet....it's gotta be close to pot-sized. $5 into a $13 pot isn't going to scare anyone out. the turn push is actually pretty cool...but you could have pushed him out on the flop.
