Simultaneous AA vs KK

Postby iceman5 » Sun Jul 17, 2005 10:01 am

Last night I had 2 AA vs KK hands at the same time.....I really shouldve folded the KK. Agree?

#1) UTG ($200) raises $8. Folded to me ($225) in the SB and I reraise to $22 with AA. he calls.
Pot is $46. The flop is Q75. I bet $35 and he min raises to $70. I push and he calls. He has KK. QQ wouldve really sucked.

Whats the point of his min raise if hes going to call anyway? When he min raises the flop and I push, does he still think I have AK? AA and QQ both beat him.

#2) Other tables at the same time. UTG ($140) raises to $5...Im in MP with KK and reraise to $22. BB ($130) reraises to $60. Would you fold KK here? You already know he has AA, but it IS pretty obvious. Would he really do that with QQ?

I think the avg unknown player has AA 80%....AK 10%...QQ 5%...KK 5%

Based on these numbers, I calculate the EV like this (and I could be wrong)

AA...I lose $130 4 times and win $138 1 time = -$76.10 .. 80 times out of 100
KK...I win $4......................................................................5 times out of 100
QQ...I win $138 4 times and lose $130 1 time = +$84.4....5 times out of 100
AK...I win $138 7 times and lose $130 3 times (out of 10)=+$57.60...10 times out of 100

Total EV = -$50.70

Hows that sound? Anyone still want to push in there? You think he has QQ or AK more often?

Both of these hands are good examples of when you need to fold KK. I wouldve folded for sure of he had a full stack, but shouldve anyway.
