You all think I'm a big donk with all the crappy hands I've posted lately. But I think it is important to look at the hands I play really bad, so I can try and correct those mistakes.

SB was 43/7/1.0 and not very good
CO was 37/20/4 and was kind of a maniac

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players -

SB: $58.45
BB: $100
Hero (UTG): $99.50
MP: $114.95
CO: $176.70
BTN: $102

Preflop: Hero is dealt [Ah] [Jd] (6 Players)
Hero raises to $3.50, MP folds, CO calls $3.50, BTN folds, SB calls $3, BB folds

Flop: ($11.50) [Ac] [5c] [5s] (3 Players)
SB bets $11.50, Hero raises to $30, CO calls $30, SB raises all-in to $54.95,

Hero needs to call $24.95 in a pot that now has $126.45 in it.

I raised the SBs bet because it was an instant bet, he was really bad, and I knew that I was ahead of him. When the maniac behind me called though, that is when I got really confused. Does he have an ace too? a club draw maybe? More than likely a 5, right?

Lets assume that I am ahead of the SB. I'm getting 5:1 on my call. Do you think my AJ is ahead more often that that against the CO?

But then I have to assume the CO isn't going to fold, so really, I have to put in the rest of my stack ($66) to win the $126.45 already in the pot + another $66 from the CO (Total of $192.45)

So that is 2.92:1 .

So...... Even though it is only $24.95 to call the SBs all-in. I should probably fold?

I wouldnt say its never a raise. its easy to say that after you see the bet and raise get cold called but what if it went like this instead....

SB bets $11, hero calls...cutoff calls.
Turn brings the flush......now everyone is saying,"why didnt you raise the flop and isolate the donk SB when you know youre ahead?"

if you raise this flop (i probably wouldnt) then you cannot fold to the shove.

If you're going to call the sb raise, you need to shove...
