Is it better to check/call, lead, or CRAI here? There's something I dislike about every line.

I like leading about 1/2 pot here. You're up against AJ-A8 most of the time and your goal should be to extract money from those hands. I would also fold if he shoves/raises pot because then you most likely have 8 outs.

You're going to be in position on the river. I'm not escalating this pot. Check behind and call a reasonable river bet, or value bet if he checks. I put him on sets and AK-AT most of the time, and I think you're going to win the most from the hands you're ahead of, and lose the least when you're behind, by checking behind on the turn.

If so, I see what you mean about every line being meh. I probably check/call -- or check/push if he bets an amount such that I think I'm ahead a decent % of the time.

You check because you generally only get called by a hand that you need help against...but people will bluff/semi-bluff a wide range that you crush...and you CRAI because tonnes of hands that you beat are calling still...and you don't want to just check any river...so just put your money in after he bets.

CRAI is easily best here.
