Set-over-set (now with hands to review)

Took the ass end of it 4 times in 2 days.

WTF is going on out there?

All hands Prima NL$20

1) Set-Over-Set

Phish has $20
Foe has $12

Phish in MP2 w/ [4s][4h], UTG fold, UTG+1 (foe) calls, 2 folds, MP1 calls, Phish calls, Button folds, SB completes, BB checks

Flop (1.00) [4c][6h][Tc] Check, Check, UTG+1 bet .20, fold, Phish raise to 1.20, fold, fold, call and we're heads-up.

Turn (3.40) [As] UTG+1 check, Phish bet 3.20, Call (I put him on a flush draw, but I'm too new to the table to really have a read)

River (9.80) [Ks] UTG pushes 7.65, Phish calls

He had Ac Ah <-- white

2) Bluff me again, baby! Thank Yew!

Phish has $21
Foe has $19

Phish in MP1 w/ [Qd][Jd] UTG (foe) call, fold, fold, Phish raises to .80 (Table is very weak, I want to mix it up), folds around to UTG who calls and we're HU

Flop (1.90) [7d][2d][8d] UTG bets 1.00, Phish calls (Not going to believe we both flopped a flush *and* he's got K or A high))

Turn (3.90) [2h] UTG bets 3.00, Phish (OK, maybe a set, but I'm still not believing it for some reason. PT calls him an ATM...) raises to 9.00 (let's find out), UTG calls

River (21.90) [Js] UTG pushes 7.89, Phish calls in an instant

He had As 6s <-- white

3) Too Aggressive?

Same table as #2, a few hands later

Phish has $40
Foe has $23

Phish in MP3 w/ [Ad][Qc], UTG fold, UTG+1 call, fold, call, call, Phish raises to 0.80, folds to BB (foe) who calls, UTG+1 call, rest fold

Flop (2.90) [8c][9c][Tc] BB bets 0.80, UTG+1 folds, Phish (way underbet, I think he fears the flush, maybe he'll fold, probably should fold, but not getting almost 5-1. so... call or raise? well, duh! RAISE! how much? 3x his? then he may re-raise - PT calls him an risky player - let's put the decision to him) I push, he calls

Turn, River (47.00) [Ks] [6c]

He had Jd 7d <--- white

I usually play NL$50 now, so this is somewhat lower than I'm used to. I don't have as much respect for $20 as I have for $50.

Thoughts on these?

Shit happens.

During my last losing streak I had so many of them I learned to lay them down when my reads are solid. i remembered laying down KKK to AAA and 888 to KKK. Both showed it to me because I was whining all the time and they felt empathy.

WTF!!!

Sorry you are through it.

It is tough to head back down to $20 now that I'm used to $50. I loved the $20s and made $12 per hour there at Prima, but when I tried to go back recently I lost money due to lack of patience.
