----- FLOP ----- [7c Qc 8d]

Terrific Flop although I don't know if I will get any more money out of the guy as I Have 2 of the 3 queens still out. I want it to look like a continuation bet with AK maybe he will play along with TT, JJ or if I'm lucky he has 77 or 88. I think AK AQ will fold and a poorly played pre flop AA or KK will stay with me or raise here. I risk him on the flush draw.

My opponents stats were VP$IP 28% / Pre Flop Raise 4% / Post Flop Aggression 11% so he is very aggressive post flop.

BK101: bets $5
DAVEMcE: calls $5
----- TURN ----- [7c Qc 8d][Js]

The call is interesting. Maybe hes on the flush draw or Maybe he is slow playing his lower set. I better get some money in.

BK101: bets $15
DAVEMcE: raises to $44

Wow, must have been a set. Here we go.

BK101: raises to $71.50 and is all-in
DAVEMcE: calls $27.50
----- RIVER ----- [7c Qc 8d Js][Ah]

Flush didn't hit and unless he played AA poorly I feel pretty strong here.

----- SHOW DOWN -----
BK101: shows [Qd Qs] (Three of a kind, Queens, Ace high)
DAVEMcE: shows [9c Tc] (A Straight, Queen high)
DAVEMcE collected $159.50 from Main pot
----- SUMMARY -----
Total pot $162.50 Main pot $159.50 Rake $3
Board [7c Qc 8d Js Ah]
Seat 2: Corpus74 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 3: DAVEMcE showed [9c Tc] and won ($159.50) with A Straight, Queen high
Seat 4: Dirk07 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 5: blaidan folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 6: ReefFish2 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 7: obtiagre (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 8: windbreak (small blind) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 9: Yellow10 (big blind) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 10: groover1 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
****HAND ENDS****

OK so in the heat of battle I missed the straight. I couldnt lay down my set anyway but should I have? How do you play this one. With this guys post flop aggression number I had seen him bully several pots and I am sure he didn't have the nuts all those times but this is fairly typical of how I lose a stack. I have a hand that seems too good to lay down against an opponent that has shown me he pushes too hard and I get stacked.

The other thing I hate is that the guy leaves the table immediately after stacking me.

Oh well. Give me some feedback please.

The only thing I can really see is betting more on the flop. You want action from your hand but you also let any kind of draw come in for a good price. You bet 1/2 the pot on a draw heavy board, [Ac] [Kc] is cetainly getting the right price here.

You said this guy is really aggressive so you should not be worriying about loosing action even if you do bet more on the flop. I think either a bigger flop bet or a check raise all in would have been more ideal plays given this guys aggressiveness.

On the turn there's really nothing you can do. I think your just gonna get stacked here, but you should have charged him more on the flop. I'm probably all in on the turn. Your bet 3/4 pot bet on the turn is still giving pretty good odds for somebody with a flush draw combined with a staight draw. Hindsight is always 50/50 of course but I just think you need to be hammering this more on the flop and the turn.

If the guy as an AF of 11 (wow) then he does a TON of raising/betting and folding. Not too many calls.

Given that, I might have checked the flop to him, looking to check raise as he's usually betting.

However, when he called your flop bet, I probably raise an eyebrow and wonder why the rare call here. Hopefully I'd see the draw.

I can't fault your play that much though, and in the heat of the battle, I could easily play it the same way.
