Postby Stelvask » Fri Aug 26, 2005 12:42 pm

mp1 is relatively tight passive.

when he checked it to me twice and bet $4 on the river, i didn't think he had AA any more (that last A helped too). does anyone bet the flop? how about the turn? i think my river raise is fin considring i put him on KK

With what he had you got $14 more than you would have otherwise... not so bad at all.

I'm gonna take a rare stab at a comment...A tight passive player re raised you so his range of hands is VERY limited right? AA KK is about it I think, as most passives would just call your raise with most other holdings...If you put him on KK, were tryin to milk him with that flop? I would have BTP on the flop (right or wrongly) after he checked (he cant have KQ if he re raised right?) I would have bet the turn as well, but of course the whole outcome is changed after my flop bet...I have been playing more weak tight myself and it has been paying off, but personally would have been more aggressive here...Playing it the way you did, I am curious what others have to say, as well as the river raise. You had him read perfectly, so maybe you wouldn't have got much more out of him---interesting post thanks
