When I play a patient and relaxed game I win - that simple.

Wow, I feel bad.

I'm out. :(

We started with 10,000 chips and 25/50 blinds with 60 minute levels. A good structure. I got seated at table 17 with 8 players that I didn't know - a great start. I start playing fairly TAG and a bit looser in LP and can't get any momentum at all. About an hour or so in I get moved to a different table (the whole table broke) and I arrived there with a still decent 9k in chips.

I know one player at this table, Arul, who is an Aussie pro and a very good tournament player. He is in the 3 seat, I am in the 10 seat. He doesn't know who I am. I must've won 6 out of the first 10 hands that I saw at the table. I was bullying the table, the players to my right were abysmal. I picked up a couple of hands (KK and AA) but got no action on either of them. A while later I get QQ and 3bet out of the sb to a CO open and get no action. I lose a few pots in situations where I raise pf, someone who has limped calls with a hand like T8 and flops a pair and gets a small amount of chips from me when I CB.

I have about 8k in chips when following hand then comes up:

50/100 blinds and I get [Qs] [Qc] in the CO and it's folded to me, I make it 350. Both the blinds call. I haven't noticed much out of either of them, apart from the fact that the BB is very talkative with Arul and I assume they're friends away from the table for whatever that's worth.

The flop is [Ts] [8c] [7c] and they both check to me. I bet 1,025. The SB calls and the BB now goes all in covering both of us. I go into the tank for a couple of mins and fold. The SB now tanks and calls saying 'let's gamble' with 88. The SB had 77. Turn is the [Kd] and the river is the [Qh]. Oh how I wish I could've made the wrong decision that one time.

I'm down to about 6.5k in chips and a few hands later the following happens:

MP1 raises to 350, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO calls, BTN now makes it 1,000 and I'm in the BB with [Ad] [Kd]. I shove. Folds back to the button who hems and haws for a while then calls with [Jc] [Jh]. Brick city and I'm out.

If there's anything more anyone wants to know I will answer any questions. I feel I played very well and made correct decisions but just didn't have luck on my side. When you look at the hands I got dealt PF I ran hotter than god (I believe I got QQ+ 6 times and AK twice, in maybe 60 hands) but I either got little or no action, or folded to a better hand when I got outflopped.
Poker is silly.

Daam. ..will read ur tr soon when I have free time....

Im slightly confused... you didnt email me about paying for my 2% and you said you would let everyone know on the day or day before the rate.

Did everyone else pay before the event? Or are they paying up after the event? Did I have 2%? I'll trust you're judgement weather I was in or not.

Wow I'm sorry I must have missed you when adding people's email addresses to the email that I sent out - I did have you down for 2% and it was my understanding that that was confirmed through our PMs. There are a lot of people on here who can affirm that I did send out the email to everyone's email address that I had the day before the tournament - I must've forgot to include you in the list when I was copy/pasting.

A few people's email addresses I didn't have but I did have yours - It is all in my excel document - I apologise for missing you when I sent it out.

The content of the email was basically giving out my real name and saying that as far as payment goes, I would wait until after the tournament to ask anyone for the money. That way if I had cashed I could simply pay people their respective %s, or if I didn't cash I could ask for the % that they bought given the amount I bought in for on the day.

I worked out a deal with pokerstars to buy me in using funds from my stars account. The amount was almost exactly $10,950 (USD) given the conversion rate on the day that they bought me in, so that is the figure I will be using.

OK no worries, I was worried I'd made a typo in my email, or worse you'd decided not to give me 2% or forgotten to include me. Just let me know amount and stars name.

sorry to hear that... from my small experience, when you run hot at the beginning of the freeze out tournament, it's never a good sign...

I will be shipping you $219 for my 2% ASAP on your Stars acc.
