Rounders: What did Teddy KGB have?

Postby kdiddy33 » Thu Aug 04, 2005 7:25 am

I'm sure this has been discussed in the past. I watched Rounders last night for the first time in a while.

So Mikey hits the nut straight on the flop and Teddy bets into him after he checks. Mikey continues to slow play and flat call all bets until he goes all in.

What did Teddy have? My guess is the following:

1) Trips or
2) Bigger pair than the board (which was 6 7 10 rainbow as I recall)
3) Bluff

What do you think?

Also, don't you guys think Teddy would have checked it down after Damon continued to flat call? I know I would have been concerned about the action.

Thanks
Good, you?

supposively he had TT for the flopped top set. Apparently you can see it when he throws his cards down in anger.

Pushing in does seem dumb if mike just had a draw but Teddy did have 3rd to the nuts in heads up which is a huge hand. Only AA and 89 were beating him. However, when he asked if mike was on a draw, there is only a weak straight draw out there if mike had 85 or 45.

The reason Teddy wouldn't have slowed down against all the calls would be that Mike cracked his tell (the Oreo thing), then told him, so he was playing on tilt.

I think slowing down there would be silly.

I forgot about the 10s in slow mo. That would make sense. I have to go rewatch that part in slow mo.

He had TTT. You can see it being shown at one point, although it's hard to.
