This probably should be posted in the B&M section, but since nobody posts there... I figured I'd throw it out here... Plus, it WAS in a NL game... Just live instead of online...

Anyway... I had a rules dispute with the house I play at, and not sure who was right... But, it cost me a $1000 pot... So, suffice it to say I was a little peed off...

2/5NL... SB has about $100 and is just GOD AWFUL, I have $5-600 (probably not quite as God awful ), MP has about $300 and is a halfway decent player...

MP is the only limper, SB completes... I get the big whopping ... And, decide to slowplay those babies and just check...

Pot is $15... Flop is the very helpful ... check, check, check...

Pot is STILL $15... Turn is the ... WOOHOO!!! I'm smokin now...

SB leads out for $20... that probably means he's got J3 or some other such powerhouse... Hell, now I get a flush draw and gutshot to the straight... I call the $20...

All of a sudden, MP wakes up from his coma and bumps it up to $50... NO WAY IN HELL HE DOESN"T HAVE SOME WEAK ACE!!! He may as well just flip THAT one over at least... He's such a straight forward player it's ridiculous, and he was tryin to slowplay us with some freakin ace... Bahstad... I'll show him... I'll call his measily $30 raise and then bust him when he can't let go of TP...To steal a line from Mecosking... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

Unfortunately, before I get a chance to call, jackass SB goes over the top allin for $70 total, which was $20 more than the raise...

So, it's $50 for me to call... But, here's my question... If I call, can MP come over the top again allin...? To which, I would probably have to fold...? I was pretty sure the raise had to be more than half the origional raise to count... MP raised $30... SB RERAISED $20 more... Which would be more than half....

This little sticking point created quite an argument, and I ended up just folding in frustration, as I was SURE MP was gonna push at this point.. I mean, way to tip my hand....

Sorry if that was a long-winded way of asking if anyone knows the rule for this, whether he could've reraised or not...?

In case anyone was curious, MP had A9, SB had crapola, and I would've scooped his whole stack when the hits the river...

When MP bumps it to $50, the raise is $30. So when SB goes all-in for $20 more, this is not a raise, but a call. MP cannot re-raise when the action is back on him.

yeah, mp should not be able to raise when it gets back to him. You should have the option to raise if you want. This was actually discussed in cardplayer.
