As it ended up, I did have a chance to chat with him briefly at the party they threw for him last night, but I don't think he played at all. I think there's some kind of promotional deal going on, as he's supposed to be back in November.

I also think the somewhat difficult part is what MVP was saying: These guys are playing (as Scotty confirmed) 4000/8000 limit at the Bellagio (yep, those three zeros are right), so a 2/5 NL game is basically a joke. And, as we all know from jumping down in limits, these small games make you very dangerous because you can play really freely--it's just not real money to the bigger level player whereas it's a lot of money to everyone else. I can generally deal with that kind of thing, and I'd still like to watch one of the top players in action.

Ideal, of course, is just to sit and observe, but I find that I really can't follow the action more than just superficially unless I'm actually sitting at the table (aside from the fact that it's just hard to see the details from the rail anyway).
