I'm relatively inexperienced when it comes to playing SC in this case 7d 6d so I need some assessment in my play here. I'm going to post it in a couple of separate posts so I can get a clear idea on what to do on each street. So here's PF and flop play. Turn to follow separately and river again in a separate post.

So here I'm pretty much liking the flop and I like to bet my draws even out of position (good/bad?) to thin the field and hopefully get heads up. In this case BB calls next to me giving the next 3 guys odds to chase anything.

What possible holdings am I looking at for the other 2? (BB is loose PF and rated as UA rather than LAG, UTG is also loose PF and is a Fishy CS)

I dont bet a flush draw into a field of 4 other players. This flop is going to get raised a high percentage of times.

call me crazy, but I might, just MIGHT check raise this if you have a lag and a calling station in there. This could equal to be a monster pot but you could also be 2nd best here cause of you description of the utg (possibly limping Axs?). You could really set yourself up to take down a monster. This is coming from someone who plays their SCs wayy to aggressively.

Shamrock, I did think about check raising here but didn't want to be raising if 3 others were in the pot, would have got too expensive i think and I thought the check call might have made it look too obvious I was on a draw.

Anyway this is where things went wrong. Still 3 in the pot and I wasn't liking my hand so much now with still 2 others left even though I'd hit. Heads up I would have been fine, I'd have a better understanding of where I was and could have gotten more aggressive with it. I decided to check call it down as long as the bets were managable enough (which they were).

I still would have lead out on the turn and if no one raised, you are in good shape. If they keep it managable, you can then call it down. I don't like check/calling that weak bet because it gives anyone with 1 diamond or 2 pair or a set a great chance to chase. By betting, you charge the draws and gain information and grow a pot that you have a decent chance to win.

I would definitely bet the turn, or check-raise it. You're giving a free card for the . If you bet out and get raised, you may want to consider folding it of course but the JT straight draw jut got there as well so you may very well be up against a str8, not the higher flush you fear. Lots of people chase str8's on suited boards and think they've struck gol when it arrives, ignoring the obvious flush. Also, since you bet out they're more likely to give you credit for the K than the flush. I'd play my hand like it was good until proven otherwise.

All makes perfect sense, I knew I was making a total hash of it while it was happening. So basically unless someone goes over the top of me then I'm pretty much good. All basic stuff really which I forgot about.

I think by making the bet on the flop you are basically saying you have the only flush draw. Why would you back off once you hit your hand. By betting your draw and then hitting it on the turn you have (IMO) disquised your holding well.

I would lead the turn with a pot sized bet and go all in if I made the decision earlier in the hand that my flush would be the best hand.

The turn is basically the nuts for you.
