Need serious help on BR tilt.

Postby tommyhawk » Wed Oct 31, 2007 6:30 am

Following hands are very typical for my play the last 2 weeks.
When I hit a board someone has hit it harder and I am not ever letting go. I am on major BR tilt. i am getting beat in every descent pot I play and I am not making it hard for them to get my $$$$

I finally found a handconverter. Only thing is it shows my hand at bottom. so please try to look at the hands not looking at their cards yet.
And please gimme hell on every street

1. Button raiser is 40/25 and sb raiser is 17/12. I seriously have sb on a good hand but I also think he is reraising the person here.

if it makes you feel better, when I'm on semi-tilt I overplay and force things instead of waiting for my spots. Usually right after this I'm on full tilt and am smart enough to stop playing. I donked off a full stack on a moronic play 2 nights ago just like that. Horrible.

AKs pf = nuts when: you're against an agro player who will shove with <QQ and AJ type hands OR you're against a TAG who's smart enough to isolate a weak player lightly - so you can re-isolate.

1 - I like a fold preflop. In a 3-bet pot I want QQ+ to play unless I have a read on the opponent as super aggressive. I frankly prefer a push to a call.

2 - The flop bet is a must, but I probably make it bigger. On the turn I would push unless I am planning to fold river.

3 - Folding to the flop CR seems like the best move, a CR is usually a better hand than TPTK. Once you see the turn it's a lot harder to get away.

4 - That's a cooler, I probably push the turn.

5 - Ugh. Cold deck. Still, a raise on the turn is always a monster. I would have put him on AJ. I think you can get away. A flop raise on the other hand I would probably not fold to.

#1 is easy to get away from when he reraises preflop then check/calls the flop, he has a set like 95%, AA 3%, AK 2%, QQ or TT or anything you beat 0.000%.

#2 this is close but I probably fold river, I hate hate hate that board after it doesn't pair on the end.

#3 for Christ's sake you know to fold TPTK to a strong CR on the flop don't you? You think he has KJ???

#4 is a very tough fold on the river with the set. But if you're putting him on two pair you need to shove the turn.

#5 stinks a lot, top and bottom is rarely worth a stack even on a non-flushy board, and definitely not here. When I'm running and playing badly I make that turn call and try to catch one of my 4 outs even though I don't have the odds ... but even at my worst I don't call that river shove. The best hand you're beating is J8, no way in hell he is shoving that or worse for value, so all you have is a bluffcatcher.
