Min raise pre-flop

Postby GooperMC » Sat Sep 17, 2005 8:27 am

$25 party table. I am OTB with [Ah] [Kh].

3 limpers, I raise to $2, folds to opponent in MP who min-raises. MP started the hand with $6.

This is an easy all in right? He is short stacked so I am going to get 2:1 and the only hand that I am more then 2:1 behind is AA. Plus he is short stacked which usually equals bad and I do have some fold equity.

This is my first orbit so I don't have a read but he hasn't done anything totally out of line yet.

It's a coin flip to make that move...but it's put him all in or fold. You're worse (barely) than 2:1 to KK as well...but since it's likely enough that you're 50:50 or leading pushes this towards calling...since he's a short stack, it's likely enough that he just has KQ, AJ, KJ or something like that.

How do you have any folding equity?

He started with $6. If you raised to $2, his min raise is to what? $3.75? He only has $2.25 left. You have zero folding equity.

Still, all in is the only play, although he probably has AA or KK.
