I finally noticed something that has changed during the losing streak (besides chips sliding the wrong way
Usually, I make a stand on the flop. I'm raising or folding most hands. I'm reraising when I think I have a strong hand. However, during my streak it seems I've become prone to calling on the flop and hoping for a good turn. YUCK. During my good run, my turn decisions were easy because I'd played my hands aggressive enough so I had good information for folding or continuing. During the bad streak, I called trying to put a move on the river. I was never quite sure what to do or what he had. Very bad situations.
Not sure this helps anyone. I didn't realize how just calling a flop could lead to such disasters.
My new or I should say renewed philosophy--Raise or fold the flop!
