I cringed when I read this post. How can you be on tilt THAT bad?

obviously you have to shove, you have bottom pair and and a gutshot. (the bad end FWIW) Since you have under 9 outs you will surely hit it and stack someone off their 2pr/set.

I wasn't actually on tilt, just my kind of tilt where my tilting ends preflop with the bad call I make then. I know calling $100 with 64s isn't the brightest thing, but on the scale of "bad things" it's nowhere near the top. It can't be, considering it would be a great call if the raise was smaller. It's just an expensive call.

Anyhoo, I shoved on the flop. I was putting the BB squarely on a TT/JJ kind of hand and knew he'd put himself under enormous pressure in the face of an all-in, since on that board the minimum hand he can put me on is top two pair. He seemed to me like a smart player, and smart players fold JJ there. I also knew I could make a deal with him if he called. He folded.

I was never concerned with the donk- yes he could have had a monster, but far more often he's going to have crap. I'm not looking for monsters under the bed here. He folded too.

And to H2T- you may have been joking about metagame, but you're right. I needed a big hand like this to show the table I'm still alive.
