Stars $1/$2 - Full Ring

Hero: $200
Relevant Opponents: $120-$150

Dealt KK in the BB, 6--YES! 6 limpers to me
1) I raise it to $18 and get 3--that's right 3 callers!
The callers are all loose (obviously) ranging in VPIPs from 32-48)
Pot=$60ish

Flop: 7,5,4 Rainbow
Ok, this flop is pretty scary as the chance that somebody hit a set are pretty high and then there is the straight which is a possibility with these clowns.

I lead for $40 , 2 folds and then the button raises all in for $120

Three Questions:
1) what should I have raised pre-flop?
2) what should I have done on the flop?
3) do I call the all-in bet?

1) Your preflop raise if very nice
2) Your flop bet is fine
3) I call here against a clown. The pot is $220 and its $80 to you. Youre getting almost 3-1. Theres no reason for him to push with a set with this board. Of course a moron does whatever his ouija board tells him to do, not whats smart to do, so he could have a set, but I doubt it. If he has you beat I think its 45s, but Im calling anyway. These kind of guys make this play with A7 or worse all the time.

I think you played it as well as you could. Given the odds, I would make that call. Maybe he's doing this with TP and gut shot, but it could be a set as well.

3 callers + you, @ $18 = about an $80 pot on the flop (including the limpers who folded).

So. Did you bet $40 into an $80 pot? If so, that could look weak and his all-in could mean anything.

Did you bet $60 into an $80 pot? If so, then you've already committed $80 and another $70ish to call all-in is pretty much a given, I think.

Either way, you pretty much have to call it.

Nice catch K3nt, I tried to type it from memory, while I was still playing so I screwed up the #'s a bit. I only raised to $16, (maybe the extra 2 bucks would have made this guy fold). Anyway the pot on the flop was actually $68 and I still bet $40. Sorry for the confusion.

Very glad to hear that most would have played it the same way. I called thinking exactly what Iceman said. This guy had no reason to raise with a set here since he has to have me on a big pair. I thought that there was a good chance he had 66 for an open-ender, A7s, or small overs like 88 or 99. So what did he have...survey says...75o for two pair. After I finished projectile vomiting I realized that I made the right play because this type of player would have done the same thing with the hands I listed above. Thanx for the feedback playas.
