Hero is a very good multi-tabling regular. Villain is also a very good regular, one of the best on the site (party). He usually plays a bunch of tables.

That said we don't have any extreme dynamic and nothing relevant to this hand. We have no history this session.

The table is currently 5 handed and we get OTB and make it $60. Villain calls in the SB and the BB folds.

Pot is $138. The flop comes down and he checks, we fire $100 and he calls.

Pot is $348. The turn is the and he checks, we bet $240. He checkraises to $800.

Also, thoughts on betting the turn vs checking? I am for betting the turn personally but I'm sure Trod has some followers who can present an argument for checking.

I think checking behind the turn is not such a bad idea here. If he was BB I would bet the turn almost always.

This king is pretty should be a blank here unless he has KT, If he did have AK or another K that doesn't make 2 pair more likely he just calls the turn bet since his pair of kings is hidden and likely ahead of the range of the button raisor. Worse still if he has a king he is really over representing his hand with the CR and is likely getting a fold from most of the hands he beats, this would be the perfect spot to check call and give villian the chance to bet the worst hand again on the river. Without a real feel for the dynamic of these games Its hard to really to say what my move be here. Because of all of what I said before this is also a good spot for a CR bluff against a good player. This really does look like the most obvious set ever at least at the games I play. I think he either has a monster or nothing, this is also a great spot for villain to show a bluff and get himself paid off the next time he tries to play a set ABC.

I almost always bet the turn in this spot unless I am against a rock/NIT, with as wide as tmy button opening range is, he is likely to give you action with another T or 99 - 55. A bet/fold costs you about the same amount as checking behind the turn and calling a river bet but it keeps you in control of the hand and still allows you to value bet the river if he checks and you like the river card.
