How much to bet?

Postby iceman5 » Tue Aug 30, 2005 7:57 pm

Quick hand....$5/$10 NL

I limp with 66...LP raises to $40. I call and we're heads up.
Pot is $95. LP is a fish and we both have a full stack.

Flop 555. I check and he checks behind.
Pot $95. Turn is a 6. I bet $75. He raises to $150. I reraise to $350 and he calls.
Pot $795. River 7. We both have about $600 left. How much do you bet?

I think I would bet 400. I think that is a pretty enticing bet for him to call with his overpair, perhaps we will go ahead and put you all in.

He is a fish, push the pot is sized up nicely for all in. I think you should have probably moved in on his re-raise at the turn.

All-in.

Was this a trick question? I mean he called your re-raise on the turn... if he has an overpair, which it seems like, he'll probably call. If he's got AK he's almost as likely to call an all-in as a $400 bet...

PUSH
“The real things to know is that folks will stand to lose more than they will to win. That’s the most important percentage there is. I mean, if they lose, they’re willin’ to lose everything. If they win, they’re usually satisfied to win enough to pay for dinner and a show. The best gamblers know that.” - Pug Pearson
