How dumb is this?

Postby poker2006 » Mon Sep 26, 2005 9:01 pm

Just when I thought I'm playing well, this hand comes up. Villain just sat down, this is his 3rd hand and I don't have hands on him. We both have a buy-in. Do you fold this, or do go all the way thinking he has a 4 with worse kicker or a str-flush draw with 67. I was pretty sure what he had and I was right, but I didn't have enough control to let it go...

Party Poker (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [4s], [As].
3 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: [4h], [4d], [5h] (6 players)
Hero checks. Villain bets $5. Hero raises to $15, Villain raises to $40, Hero all in $100, Villain calls.

Turn: [6c] (6 players)

River: [8d] (6 players)

Final Pot:

Results in white below:
Hero has 4s As (three of a kind, fours).
UTG+1 has (three of a kind, fours).
MP3 has 5d 5c (full house, fives full of fours).
CO has (full house, fives full of fours).
Button has (full house, fives full of fours).
Outcome: Villain wins $195.

before i looked at the results, i got the feeling that he had 55
his reraise on that flop is screaming 55 to me
but, im sure that there are plenty of donkeys on party that make the same play with 42o
if it makes you feel any better, im making the same play there and hoping to get paid by a weaker 4
