$50NL @ Prima. I'm in the BB w/ [5d][4s]. UTG limps, MP3 limps, CO limps, SB completes and i check in the BB. i have about a $50 stack...UTG has $35 or so.

flop: [4c][4d][5h]
pot size: $2.50

um.....yeah. i'll take that flop. SB checks... i lead out for $1....because i want to give a straight draw a chance to catch up, or an overpair to raise. MP + CO fold...UTG calls + SB calls too.

turn: [Qs]
pot size: $5.50

pretty irrelevant card. i check...hoping someone caught something with overcards. checks around.

river: [6s]
pot size: 5.50

i lead for $4. UTG min-raises to $8. at this point i worry. in order for this card to have made him a straight...he would have called my flop bet on a paired board with a gutshot with 7-8, or have limped UTG with 3-2. there's no flush possible. so i start to legitimately worry that he has slowplayed 55, or has 6-4 or 6-6 for a higher boat.

i'm obviously not going to fold...but do i call...or reraise? should i really be worrying about a higher boat so much considering i'm only playing $50NL? thanks,

jon

I have very rarely run into a slow played 66 here. Chances are better he had 2,3 or KQ or something given it s50NL

I reraise.

but do those hands call a sizable re-raise? if not, then aren't i better just calling?

well...i chickened out and just called. he showed [8c][7c] for the gutshot straight. the thing is....as soon as he called my flop bet....8-7 was the first thing that came into my mind. i quickly decided that couldn't be right...but apparently it was.
