Standard loose/passive prima table. Opponent has vpip ~30, pfr 1.2 and is rated as a calling station. I have $20, he has me covered.

Bluffing a calling station? In my (somewhat limited) experience, he'd probably call you down with Ax or so, i'd just let it go here and hope for a double check or something.

Well I had him on a weak Ace from the beginning, and when the board pairs that counterfits my two-pair so if I check I will lose the hand. Usually I won't try to bluff a player off an Ace on this level, but with BOTH a pair AND a flush on the board I figured that I actually had a chance to get him to fold this time. Also, he's *rated* a calling station by PT, not a "real" calling station.

i don't know what to think. the only hand i can put him on that a calling station would fold on the river is an 8.

Well he's only rated as a calling station in PT. That doesn't really mean that he calls all the way with every hand, more that he's very passive. I think he had a "went to showdown" that was lower than mine (of course, he saw a lot more flops...). But yeah, I was still surprised.
