Hating min-raises... Bet the river?

Postby MVPSPORTS » Mon Sep 12, 2005 12:20 am

Boy do I HATE calling minraises... Not sure why I called this one, except that I often give myself good advice that I seldom follow... Like that time I saw that mark on that "massage parlor" girls lip, but... Anyways... Once he minraised me, I'm obviously not feeling all that strong w/ my hand, and the river didn't do anything to make me feel better...

I only had like 20 hands w/ this guy, but PT had him rated as a maniac (like 68% VPIP and 18% PFR... Something like that... But, obviously 20 hands isn't enough...)

Yeah push back at that turn raise. No reason to slow play since you're out of positon....only thing beating you is a set (and that's unlikely since you have top two), but theres a variety of hands that your opponent would think are good against you. I think you should lose or win a stack in this situation. I think you're ahead.
