na this isn't a bad beat run geo.. like he said...he's playing very badly. he's making raises with hands that he knows are beaten etc etc....

kinda like "perma-tilt."

i pretty much learned how to play from this site. i'd read some books and understood some basic concepts...but this forum essentially taught me how to play. i started off breaking even at NL$10....9 months later i beat $50NL easily.

so...Ice...since you are to a large extent the driving force behind BTP....you know as well as the rest of us that you're still capable of winning. just take a couple weeks off...come back to it with a clear head.

also...i dont know if it helps you...but i have little post-it notes attached to my monitor. just saying things like "don't go broke in an unraised pot" and "most peole wont fold top pair." i find that it helps a lot to have the words staring right there back at me while i stare at the screen.

Ice you are starting to sound like me, stop it. Ok seriously you have lost your discipline it happens to everyone from time to time. You are one of the most solid poker players I know. The guys that post of 2+2 can spout whatever names they want. Yes good tight players take advantage of weak players but isnt that the point of poker??? So you had a losing month, so what it was bound to happen. Bad run of cards lack of concentration or whatever.

I would suggest not dropping down to the $25 games, for me personally I cant force myself to play my A game when the stakes are that small. I get bored and lose my patience.

I am very thankfull for all your help and advice, I have become a very good poker player in large part thanks to you and some of the other memebers at BTP. It is sad to hear the frusteration in your posts but it will pass with time.

If i were you I would set Oct 1 as the next time you play poker, start with a clean slate and a clear head. Then go back to crushing the morons like you always do.

I always knew it. You suck at NL

You just got very lucky a few years and now variance is gonna get you. Better clear that BR because it will be gone soon. 2+2 are right it just took a while.

Does that help !?.

I think 2 weeks is enough time to clear and start playing that mean Ice game.
