.25/.50 NL loose loose home game. its late in the night, we are playing 7 handed. I have $40 and I am the short stack at the table. (these are hands from the night, not necessarily ones i was involved in. i will post results soon after some thoughts)

HAND #1:

PREFLOP: I am dealt UTG. I limp, MP raises to $2.50. Button calls, one blind calls, I call.

FLOP ($10.25):
Checked to me, I bet $7. Original raiser moves all in. Everyone folds back to me. What is your play here. It is your remaining stack ($34.50) to call.


HAND #2:
same game, later that night. 6 handed. I have $86.50, button has $40, SB has $170

PREFLOP: I am dealt in the big blind. SB raises to $3.50. I call as does the button.

FLOP ($10.50)

SB checks, I bet $6, button raises to $15, SB moves all in ($170). Call or fold $80.50 more with that flop??

1. eh it's close. you've got a ton of outs. I would have liked your play better if you put him all-in..not the way it happened. I would probably fold, because it looks like you can get in a lot better spots then this against these players.

2. Easy fold. SB probably has A. Button is still yet to act and he might have a set. pot's $110 with $80 for you to call?? (pot would be bigger but since you can't cover him....) You can find a lot better, less mediocre spots then this.

I would fold in both spots.

Hand 1- I fold preflop, but after that flop its a tough call but I think its a fold. There is a decent chance that all you have is a flush draw if someone had AK. Though with the all in I doubt the villian has AK so you may actually have 14 out, which is pretty much a coin flip, though you are slightly behind.

Hand 2- This is tougher, this really depends who you are playing agaisnt. Again this hand looks like you are up against an overpair, again I think folding preflop is the answer. I usually give the blinds the benefit of he doubt when they make a sizeable raise. Unless of course it us Lamont or one of his buddies.

hand #1: I decided to call of my last $34.50 into the pot that was already $61. i figured the odds were about right if all 14 of my potential outs were live, the worst case scenario being i was up against a set or AK and was drawing only to my flush. Villian (Teddy) turned over AQ, so i had 11 live outs (clubs and kings). The turn was the , no help, and the river was the oh so beautiful . I scoop the pot.

hand #2: this time, i decided to fold after the raise and re-raise. kenny, your analysis is perfect as usual, the re-raiser (Jared) showed . the raiser (Abbott), who i know i had beat (i've played many hands with this guy, also folded, and showed one card, the , but said he didn't have the flush draw. i didn't believe him.
