AQ hand 2

Postby Alchemist » Wed Aug 03, 2005 5:43 pm

Battle of the blinds...... I wasn't paying much attention preflop due to playing another table and I thought a limper or 2 were already in the pot else I'd have raised. Apart from that I hate situations like this in the blinds. Worked out in the end though. Apart from raise PF, any holes?

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.50 BB (10 handed)

BB ($28)
UTG ($50.35)
UTG+1 ($32.95)
UTG+2 ($24.50)
MP1 ($29.70)
MP2 ($73.20)
MP3 ($52.75)
CO ($11.75)
Button ($19)
Hero ($68.25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [Qc], [Ad].
8 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1) [8c], [As], [Kd] (2 players)
Hero bets $0.5, BB raises to $2.5, Hero raises to $7.5, BB raises to $23.5, Hero puts BB all-in for $27.50 total, BB calls.

Turn: ($53.20) [Kc] (2 players)

River: ($53.20) [2h] (2 players)

Final Pot: $53.20

Results in white below:
Hero has Qc Ad (two pair, aces and kings).
BB has Ac Js (two pair, aces and kings).
Outcome: Hero wins $53.20.

I probably would have folded. He's playing so aggressive and you have no info on his hand. Looks like two pair or better to me. I think you are losing this hand most of the time...

what does everyone else think?

I would hae also laid it down. Of course I am a tight pansy ass, but his is screaming strength. You won it this time, but I think 7/10 times he beats you here.

I fold so fast that my skirt flies up in my face.

Key thought is why am I playing for my stack with TPGK when I don't know what the other guy has? There are easier spots to try to make $.
