AK hand

Villan in this hand was very passive in the 60+ hands I had with him. I only saw him show down one hand and he has two pair and just chek called all the way to the river.

He has $25 I have him covered.

NL $25 on Party

Hero is dealt [Ad] [Ks] UTG+1 and makes it $1 to go. Villan and one other player call.

Pot = $3.35
Flop = [As] [5d] [6s]

Hero leads out for $2, villan min raises to $4, other player folds, Hero calls???

Pot = $11.35
Turn = [8h]
Hero checks?, villan bets [$6], hero folds.

How wrong did I play this? As passive as he had been I figured him for a set, or two pair. Should I have raised his min raise on the flop, or lead out on the turn? I am at a complete loss on this one.

The way you played it, I probably fold.

However, I would have lead on the turn. You almost have to if you are going to call the min raise on the flop. By leading the turn, you can fold confidently if he really plays back. By not leading, you are leaving yourself open to having to fold to a 1/2 pot sized bet which could easily be AJ or something. Also, by leading, you might just get called and get to a showdown with someone with a weaker kicker or a missed flush.

Tim,

If I lead on the turn, for say $6 which is what he bet, and he calls, do I lead again on the river if a brick comes? Is leading for $6 the right play on the turn or should I bet the full pot? What if another [s] comes on the river do I shut it down then?
