Good Bluff or Spewage (300NL)

Postby T-Rod » Wed Aug 01, 2007 7:53 am

300NL Prima.

Villain is to my right and is running 40/20. His flop/turn/river aggression is high on each street. Full stacks for both of us.

In a previous hand, he checked the flop and turn and when I value bet my 2nd pair, he check raised me. I folded but it felt wrong.

My image at the table is certainly tight because I'm card dead and running 16/2.

To the hand,

He limps SB, I complete BB with K[h] T[h].

Flop ($9) Q[d] 4[d] 4[s]. Ck/ck.

Turn 7[s]. He checks. I fire $6 after a pause, he now raises to $25.

I reraise to $90 with nada?

Who likes? Who hates?

I don't like it.

First a general question, why would you check behind with a good hand preflop and then go to war with air postflop? It feels extremely wrong to me.

Zmej, there was another guy in the hand besides Villain. He folded after I fired on the turn. So then it became HU.

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
