Postby Stoneburg » Tue Aug 09, 2005 6:03 pm

finnish_fox : Folds
Stoneburg : Raises for 0.80 [5d] [4d]
Coachen : Calls for 0.80 (~$27, too loose but not a total idiot)
Danielinho : Calls for 0.80
Gaazai : Folds
keysersoze75 : Folds
lebtowngirl : Folds
zeus520 : Calls for 0.80 (~$13, loose/passive fish)
pixiepat : Folds
Uncle_Greg : Folds

Flop [Ad] [3s] [2d] $3.50
------------------
Stoneburg : Bets 1.20
Coachen : Calls for 1.20
Danielinho : Folds
zeus520 : Calls for 1.20

Obviously this is the prettiest flop I could imagine. Here I'm betting weak-ish hoping that an Ace will raise to protect against the flush draw so I can push.

Turn [4c] $7.10
------------------
Stoneburg : Bets 5.60
Coachen : Calls for 5.60
zeus520 : Calls for 5.60

River [2c] $23.90
------------------
Stoneburg : Checks
Coachen : Went all-in 18.60
zeus520 : Went all-in 5.10
Stoneburg : Folds

Well, I think the flop bet may have been a little small. I think it should be pot sized ($3.50) as. At $1.20 that gives these guys the correct odds to chase flushes bigger than yours.

You raise preflop from EP so they think you have a normal raising hand. Either check to make it look like KK / QQ and then check raise....or make a normal 3/4 pot bet and play from there.

I agree with ice. Either bet that flop bigger and hope they play back or check raise big hoping you catch them with an ace. I've learned that even the best boards can turn bad and i just bet the same whether i have it or not. Don't try to get TOO greedy.
