The preflop call is marginal because you don't close the action so that's a read because you would think you are often just looking for a set. Therefore, don't kick yourself for folding the flop as it goes with your preflop read. Just let it go and hope to play with these guys again. If they do this stuff again, you will know and win in a better situation than this one.

I agree. But question for Briachek....Is the preflop call marginal b/c of the stack sizes involved when attempting to hit your set? or is there another reason.

But once you make the PF call and your set misses, I dump it right away. too. I would probably make the same play, right or wrong, that Tiburon made if I was 100% sure that I could get one of the player's stacks if I hit my set. Judging by the flop action, they both have a large pair and are both willing to get it all in. Where is a Ten when you need one :(

The preflop call is marginal because there is one player left to act after him, so after he calls the pot could be raised and re-raised again forcing him to fold his tens. The stack sizes are short yet still over 8x the amount he has to call, and because the stacks are short there's actually a bigger chance he's going to stack someone so it's not as marginal in that respect.
