I checked behind thinking that hes not calling a bet with anything but a higher flush since there is are two 4 card str8s and the flush out there.

for the straight flush if Ice is beat. I still don't think it's a good idea to check behind because a straight will pay you off and if he's fishy enough, and the bet ize indicates it, he might pay you off with two-pair/set.
