Gaah! Freaking mini-raises preflop! I put him mainly on AA; but with a chance of lower pockets (TT-JJ) or maybe AK since he's very aggressive.

Flop $6.30 [Jd] [2c] [3d]
------------------
Stoneburg : Checks
naGon : Bets 2.60
Stoneburg : Raises for 7.80
naGon : Folds

Stoneburg : Mucks cards

Well, no Q on the flop but I have an over-pair and a backdoor flushdraw. I go for a check-raise because I feel that will give me the most info. If he re-raises me here I fold. He folds and says he had TT.

Should I bet out instead? If he had AK I would have given him a free shot at outdrawing me, though I doubt he would have checked behind. I felt that the CR was the only real way to define my hand.

On a side note I have cracked 2 AA and 1 KK from people who have mini-raised or mini-re-raised, the miniraise preflop must be the worst move ever.

There is not a single good player that I play with regularly that makes min raises preflop. If you see s min raise preflop, theres a 98% chance hes a fish.

A min reraise is also pretty dumb, but some good players do use this play.

I edited the HH a bit to make it easier to read(?) and added estimated stack sizes.
