Easy fold?

Postby kennyg » Sun Jul 17, 2005 7:06 pm

2/4NL

I have $350 opponent has me covered.

I have [Qh][Jd] in the BB. Bunch of limpers.

FLOP $16
[Qd][Qs][9h]

Everyone checks.

TURN$16
[Qd][Qs][9h][Td]
I bet $16. UTG raises to $32. Everyone else folds. I call.

RIVER $80
[Qd][Qs][9h][Td][Ad]

I check. Opponent bets $118. I folded pretty quickly.

Thoughts?

Easy fold for a good player. Muppets call that all day.

I agree that it was a good fold.

Question... I started playing hands like this differently in an effort to mix it up an also confuse people. With QJ there, I bet the pot. My thoughts are: 1) usually a Q wouldn't btp so opponents think you are trying to steal and give action, 2) when I BTP later to steal a pot, I have increased credibility, 3) if they play back at me, it's easier to put them on a hand.

any thoughts?
