Guy to my right raises to $20 after a limper. I call with [Jc]. Hes a tad loose preflop buyt plays above avg post flop. He stuck about $750 but making a comeback. His $20 raises mean a real hand. He raises $15 with speculative stuff.

We're heads up to the flop.

Pot $50. Flop [7c][7s]. He checks and I check behind.
Pot $50. Turn . He checks, I bet $40. Im pretty sure he has AK / AQ here. He would have to bet somewhere if he had a pair. He calls.

Pot $130. River and he checks. Anyone bet this? I was definatley going to bet any non ace or king.

so basically, if he has a pair, he would have bet it at some point so he doesn't have a pair. So if the ace doesn't hit him, he's folding to a bet and calling with probably any ace. if he can have a much wider range than AK/AQ, then maybe a small vb if he's not the type to raise you. if his range is limited, check and hope to win at showdown.

I understand that and I agree. What Im saying is that if I hadnt told you what I had, you would not call me down with AK unimproved.

Im sure most of you wouldve bet the flop with AK (as would I) , but thats a different argument altogether.
