I thought it would be fun today to throw together all the levels I've played since I bought PT in the beginning of may and see what the grand total of things looks like(a mix of NL25, 50, and 100....about 85% NL50, at varying sites) , but it's pretty discouraging. First of all, I haven't been playing nearly as much as I planned to this summer, I do pretty much nothing, yet I'm struggling to motivate myself to play at all. So in all 19,999 hands I've played in the past 2 months or so, my PTBB/100 is 4.38. This wouldnt' bother me so much because the first 6 or 8000 hands of NL50 I played was probabaly one of the worst runs I've ever had, not to mention I was probabaly playing like an ass because of it. But now, at NL100 which is my main game now, I'm still just sitting at 4.9 PTBB/100, and even though that's only 1,500 hands at NL100 and even though that still comes out to like $20/hr 4 tabling which is pretty reasonable considering I''m not struggling to pay bills or anything severe like that, it just bothers me that I could be doing better, but I'm not, and I don't know why. I'm not even sure what I'm asking here, but is approx. 5 PTBB/100 decent? Sustaining that over 20k hands at a single level should I consider moving up? I know people who are outlandishly good like Ice can go to like 8 or 9 but are most people able to do that? Should I be satisfied with what I get as long as its making a profit? I don't know where I'm going with this but I'm just pissed to think that I've only made $900 bucks this whole time.
Anyway, I guess I've got 2 major questions, is 5 PTBB/100 acceptable? And what do other people do to find holes in their game?
I usually post whatever hands on here whenever I have that feeling after it's over, you know that feeling, the one where you're like, well, let's make a note of that, this is going on BTP.
And obviously, I've got PokerTracker also but I'm not an expert user or anything so if there is something good that I can do to work out leaks I'd be glad to know about it.
Thanks.
