$2/$5 NL Live

Im at oine of the weakest most passive tables Ive seen at Winstar in a while. Im running over the table and taking small pot after small pot because nobody will call me. Villain in this hand just sat down though so doesnt know this.

He probably doesnt remember me, but I never forget a hand or a player. About 2 months ago he limped after a limper and called my $30 raise. He led $100 into a $100ish pot on a 332 flop. I had KK and flat called him. The turn was a 5 and he pushed his last $125 in. I called and he had 55. I knew he had a medium pair which is why I just called the flop bet.

On to the hand....

1 very weak limper who folds every tie i raise. I make it $25 with [Td]. Villian calls in the BB. Limper folds on command.

Pot $55. Flop [9c][8h]. Villain leads $50. What do I do. (He has about $300 left and I cover).

make it 150 on the flop. if he calls that, try to get to a cheap showdown.

I think I'd normally just fold this one. I really don't see his having 55 this time. I think the worst hand in his range is JT here and the rest beat you. I just don't think this is a very good bluffing spot. After your raise, you also can't credibly rep QJ. All you can really rep is an overpair, and I think he'll push a set to a raise as well as 2 pair.
