Crazy turn card against TAG

Postby kennyg » Wed Nov 16, 2005 3:32 am

2/4NL

I'm dealt [Jh][Th] in the SB. EP guy raises to $12. Bunch of callers. I call.

FLOP $60
[Jc][2h][7c]

I check. Checks around to the button who is TAG but will bluff if given the right spot. He bets $30. The bet seems a little weak and the pots pretty big so I decide to raise to $90. Button calls.

TURN $240
[Jc][2h][7c] [Tc]

Wonderful. I have two pair but the flush is out. Opponenet has about $250 left. I move all-in and have him covered.

I wasn't planning on playing the turn till the ten hit. How's my line?

Yuck. I think you are either way ahead or way behind so I'm not sure what the push does. I think you are only called by a flush.

As button, I'll often bet 1/2 pot with just a flush draw. I can take it down there, or I get a check/caller who is probably on the flush draw too and now I can play accordingly.

Absolutley, hate the check raise. Make it much bigger or fold.

However, this is a much better play in 6 max. Kenny, your style is sooooo suited for 6 max, you have no idea.
