It seems to me that Im getting floated non stop at Cake. Of course it could just be coincidence but it seems they call in position, call my flop bet and bet the turn every time I have to check. It just happens too much for them to have a hand every time.

So, as a review...how is this as standard action against suspected floaters?

Flop is [6h][4c].

I have made a standard raise and a standard CB and been called. Lets say its $1/$2 so I raised $7 and got called. I bet $12 into the $15 pot and got called so we have a $39 pot.

1) I have nothing. I bet $31.

2) I have a monster like 66. I check raise his $29 bet to $80 (normally I would just bet again, Im only talking about floaters here who will have nothing alot of the time)

3) I have [Qc]. As a standard play here (knowing he will bet when you check) do you prefer a check / call or a check raise? If I check raise, Im going to puke if he shoves, but if I check / call it seems I either get outdrawn by something like KJ or he checks behind on the river.

3 hands I just played led me to think about this. Thoughts?

Turn is any blank. Lets say its a for simplicity

If the turn is a why would you check your strong hands?

Just seems like you have nothing when you check there so merge that range with 2 barrels. Also if you know that the villian will bet with much less or even bet like 99 but won't call then you can adjust.

With the AQ if you find that check raising is the best play; why are you puking if he shoves? There is only 1 two pair here and 2 sets.

Counter it with the odd c/r, I am not sure how effective double barrelling more than normal (assuming you do double barrel some times). But if the players are really bad they probably aren't floating you all that much.

Also I find not auto-CBetting (when you hit and miss) helps get these chronic floaters to slow down a bit.

Nothing wrong with the C/R or C/C on the turns when you have a hand, both the 1 pair and the set, depends on how often you feel your villian will fire again on the river.
