Someone on this forum, can't remember who, put forth the idea that it's hard for people to go from an aggressive betting mindset to a folding one quickly. Unless you're bluffing of course.

Noxious : Calls for 0.50 (superloose with a huge stack)
GETT1N : Calls for 0.50 (just sat down with full buyin)
Nimbo29 : Calls for 0.50 (shorty with only $4.90)
Nirlem : Folds
Simon81 : Folds
mr_man82 : Calls for 0.50
Stoneburg : Raises for 4.00 [Kd] [Kc]
michelle19 : Folds
Roothman : Folds
Noxious : Calls for 3.50
GETT1N : Raises for 14.00
Nimbo29 : Folds
mr_man82 : Folds
Stoneburg : Calls for 10.50
Noxious : Folds

Flop [8s] [9h] [5d]
------------------
GETT1N : Went all-in 36.83
Stoneburg : Calls for 36.83

My target here is the big loose stack, I'm hoping he will call and the shorty will push, then I'll put in a nice re-raise. All of a sudden the new guy wakes up... here I just can't re-adjust quickly enough and end up calling with my whole stack.

This is definetely something I need to work on. I find it really hard to turn on a penny like this. I'm guessing others have the same problem. I was beating myself up a bit after this, hence the Topic.

ok it looks like aces preflop, but you pretty much have to decide then and there whether or not your hand is good cause more than 1/3 of your stack will be part of the pot.

i talk myself into believing he has AK or QQ-22 every time in this situtation though.

is that a somewhat standard preflop raise, 8x????

well...i wouldn't be folding kings there. A lot of players at that limit would make the same play with TT-KK.
