I'm dealt [Qc] in EP. I raise to $16. SB calls. He has $163. I've been very aggressive on this table..been stealing lots of pots. This guy hasn't done anything crazy or stupid so far.

Thats pretty cooridnated. Opponent has about $150 now. He checks. I bet $40...a little bit stronger then usual. I decided to bet more then my normal $32 because I wanted to look like I was buying...and because I wanted to protect my hand.

Opponent check raises to $80. Pot is now about $150. Opponent has about $70 left. Your play??

He is too short to fold, all in is the best play, if he has a set or bigger pair be it. The reasoning behind my thoughts is that he may play JJ or TT the same way, he might even have you AK AQ and has a holding like T9 for a pair and a gutshot, or 77.

I've seen an interesting trend lately, at least at NL50 where I play so this may not apply to you. I've been following the whole min-raise = monster deal, and for the most part I agree with it, and almost certainly the check/min-raise probabally equals something that beats whatever crap you got unless you got top set on a non-straight/non-flush board. However, I've found that when I lead with a bet on the flop and get min-raised, this often means nothing more than someone who thinks they have a good hand or is unsure, usually a re-raise in this spot shuts it down, or at least when I have a hand I'm willing to lead with and get min-raised on the flop I'm going to win at showdown. I know technically this in no way relates to the original post here, but I thought it was interesting to point out.

FWIW in my database (90% 6-max though) of approximately 400,000 hands a check raise on the flop happend approximately 2,000 times.

That's basically 1/2 of 1% of the time. In my book, that is a VERY extreme situation, and I don't like to push my marginal hands in extreme situations.
