Boy did I get a lot of crap about this laydown...

Playing at my usual 1/2NL game... Nutso's galore... I haven't been there long, and haven't really played very many hands, and haven't seen him show down many either... I've seen this guy bluff, but NEVER for this much... The only thing I could see myself ahead of was an unimproved AK... I have about $175, he's been there for a LONG time, and has me covered (even though I found out later that he sucks)...

I get dealt [Jd] [Jc] UTG... I limp (almost no hand here goes unraised)... Villian raises to $7 (which probably means he has A face card... Raises here are generally $12-20)... Gets 2 callers... I wanna see if they're serious, so I reraise to $20... only the origional raiser calls...

FLOP [Ts] [9s] [2d] ... I lead out for $40 (which is a little under full-pot, but these guys don't think in terms of pot size... They think in terms of small bets=weak and big bets=strong... And this would definitely qualify as a "big bet"...)....

Anyway, he thinks for a minute, then comes over the top of me for another $100... Basically putting me allin... I thought for a minute... Couldn't decide... I actually flipped my cards over... He didn't react at all... I REALLY couldn't think of anyway I was ahead here, and folded...

For the next hour, I got nothing but crap about this fold... They all see me as a TAG, but they said for someone who only plays a couple hands an hour, I shouldn't "pussy out" when it comes down to it (sorry for the pseudo-obscene language, but that's what they said)... This ragging has put doubts into my mind...

Why in the world would you show them the laydown. Youre going to face big raises and bluffs all the time after that and youre going to have to make alot more marginal calls.

Oh yeah, why in the world would you fold that hand against a guy like that?
