2/4 NL pokerroom

Dealt [As][Qs] in EMP. One limper, I raise to $20. Only the limper calls. The limper hasn't done anything stupid and has about $416 in front of him.

FLOP$46
[9d][8d][Ah]

Opponent checks. I bet $40. Opponent check raises to $100. I call seeing if he will fire again.

TURN $$246
[9d][8d][Ah][5c]

Opponent bets $100. I call (thinking he can't fire a third shell on a bluff or Ace with a lower kicker.).

RIVER $446
[9d][8d][Ah][5c][7s]
Opponent bets $100. Even though I'm getting great odds now, I notice that JT has hit and this guy has fired 3 shells. I decide finally to fold.

This hand was poorly played. I lost my aggression and I couldn't put him on a hand. If I'm gonna call down like that, I should just reraise and put him to the test. Reraising on the flop or just folding were both much better options here.

2/4 NL

I call the raise because I'm in position and the preflop raiser is weak/passive.

Dealt [7d][8d] on the button. Early position guy makes it $15. I call and so does the BB.

FLOP$50
[5h][7s][8s]

Top two. Preflop raiser bets $15. I raise to $50. BB calls (uhoh). Preflop raiser calls.

TURN $200
[5h][7s][8s][Kd]

Checked to me. I almost checked, but since the BB was a big station I decided to go ahead and make a bet. I bet $150, BB moves all-in for another $200 and the preflop raiser folds.

I almost fold but then call because I'm an idiot. He shows 55, exactly what I put him on. I somehow convinced myself that he might have 85. lol. Very stupid and can only blame myself.

I dont think Ive ever won with AQ in the situation you faced in hand 1 with the flop check raise. I probably fold to the check raise

Hand #2, your analysis is correct. BBs cold call is a huge red flag. Im scared to death of that cold call. He could have 66 or 99, so I might fire again, but I fold to the all in every time. I know you already know that. Its much easier to talk about doing it than it is to actually fold there.
