Best win streak of pots won?

Postby GodlikeRoy » Thu Sep 01, 2005 12:52 am

I just accomplished winning 21 pots in a row at my 6 max table, $50 NL @ FTP. It was a combination of passive opponents and good cards. Only once did i catch a card on the river to make a pair, and the pot was marginal. That's the best run i've ever had, how about everyone else?

Out of curiosity, how many did you raise preflop?

I can't remember the exact number but i'd say it was in the vicinity of 16 - 19. I'm really suprised that nobody tried re-raising me back preflop.

I don't know about pots in a row, but I once had a run of about 30 hands where I felt like I couldn't lose at a full table. ice was actually casually watching, as we were planning on playing some multi. But I think within 25-30 hands, I flopped 5 boats, another 5 nut flushes and a few other winning hands.

It was a while back and only at the $25 level, but I had my starting stack up to $150 within half an hour. I've never had anything like it since.

I've never counted how many consecutive pots, but the other night I was playing 6-max (where you get to know the other players pretty fast and well), and I absolutely owned this poor guy. I turned the nuts on him 4 or 5 times in 25 hands. Everytime he called a big bet, I had it. Everytime I bluffed, he folded. He really didnt' play his hands poorly either. I actually started feeling bad for the guy.
